Les Précurseurs Lab is officially live. And no, this is not "yet another website about AI."

It is the realisation of a conviction forged in the field, after two years of observing artificial intelligence projects in business: AI does not create value through its power. It creates value through the quality of the system in which it operates.

This distinction may seem subtle. In reality, it changes everything.

The observation: two years of repeated mistakes

The same scenario, over and over again

Since the explosion of ChatGPT in late 2022, we have observed the same pattern in dozens of companies, from SMEs to large corporations:

Choose a model — often the latest one everyone is talking about
Test a few prompts — with enthusiasm, then with frustration
Talk about automation — in board meetings, on LinkedIn
Hope for productivity gains — without really knowing how to measure them

The result? AI remains a clever gadget. Impressive in demos. Disappointing in production.

What is missing every time

It is not the technology that falls short. Current models are extraordinarily capable. What is systematically missing is everything that surrounds the model:
